Hale Mauka is located in Hale Koolau, a privately-owned group of ocean and beachfront vacation rental homes in Honolulu located in the fishing town of Hauula on Oahu's North Shore near Turtle Bay, Sacred Falls, and many other wonderful Oahu attractions. We are located approximately 45 minutes from Honolulu International Airport on the northeast coast of Oahu; where the Ko'olau Mountains touch the Pacific Ocean. Our community of single-family homes, small shops, and quaint restaurants is very different from the high rise retail/ tourist center of Waikiki. With hiking trails and unspoiled reefs, we offer a glimpse of the Oahu of yesteryear with convenient access to the night life and modern pleasures of Honolulu and Waikiki. The Hale Mauka (The House Above) is a direct, oceanfront, second floor, duplex home on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii and offers impressive views from one end of Hauula bay to the other with the beautiful Koolau Mountains beyond. This is a spacious (1200-plus-square-foot living area), two-bedroom, two-bath home with porcelain tile and carpeted floors throughout. The Hale Mauka features a complete, large and open, modern kitchen with a breakfast bar, sealed top stove/range, microwave, full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, and all the cooking utensils you need to prepare complete meals. The living area is light and airy with tropical-style furniture and enjoys breathtaking ocean views. There is a queen-size sleeper sofa in the living room in addition to an adjacent dining area with seating for up to six. The master suite is furnished with tropical furniture and a queen-size, pillow-top bed. The master bath features decorative ceramic tilework and has amazing ocean and mountain views to enjoy while showering. The second bedroom also has a queen-size bed and tropical furniture for an airy island feel. Both bedrooms have tropical ceiling fans although they are rarely needed as this home enjoys cool tropical breezes year around. |
